The weather has been beautiful. We rode for the first time on Saturday....6 miles around town. It is 3 miles around the outside edge of town. Then we rode 3 more miles just riding on all the inside roads but maybe 3! Not such a big town. It felt good. Sunday we had to watch the Sox on TV and then Amazing Race in the evening so no time for a ride. Couch exercise instead. Monday night I helped at the high school trackmeet. when I got home, jan wanted to ride...OK, I guess I can. 5 more miles racked up. Again it felt good, but I was pretty tired! Tuesday.......not such a pretty picture. My legs hurt so bad and I was so tired, I left school shortly after 3:00, took a nap, got up, fixed supper and went to bed shortly after that! I really think measuring the shot put hurt my thigh muscles much more than the biking!!! Now it is cold and rainy. but more warm weather is coming. Set a goal for me. Ho far should I ride this summer? I'm thinking 500 miles. What do you think?

Ride or watch TV?

It is SPRING!!! I am so excited. The sun is shining and it will be at least 50 degrees today and warmer tomorrow. I think bike riding is in the near future! We got the speed-o-meters ready to put on our bikes. Then we can know exactly how many miles we go this summer and how fast we go. I like to ride about 8 miles an hour. Jan rides more like 15-17 miles an hour. I guess that's one way he shows me he loves me because he is willing to ride as slow as I want!!! Until we get out in the real world, guess I'll have to do my exercise watching TV. My favorite is Amazing Race. I want to be on it. My second is Dancing With the Stars. I don't want to do it, but I love to watch it! I sent a movie home with one of my students on Friday. Save the Last Dance....wonderful movie. I wonder if she liked it! I hope so. It has a lot of different themes! (and different kinds of dance!)

Haven't done much bike riding lately. My husband had a bike accident and broke his collar bone and 4 ribs last summer. He is still healing. We have some plans for next summer. You'll just have to wait and see where we go. Maybe the Katy Trail in Missouri. Maybe back to the Mississipp river trail in the Quad Cities.

For now I may use this blog for something else. I want to help some kids learn English a little better. maybe we can talk a little about what you do and what you like.
